The train drops you off at Aguas Clientes at the base of Macchu Pichuu. From there you take another bus that winds up the mountain almost to the top about 500 feet from the top. From there its all stairs, 500 feet of stairs! Not exactly fun but also alot less than I expected to have to climb. Its and absolutely beautiful place in all honesty its extremely hard to describe. I would highly recommend it to anyone who has the chance to go.
Something I did not know before going was that the mountain in the background of this picture, the one that everyone knows, isnt actually Machu Picchu. The mountain that you climb and are standing on when you take the picture is Machu Pichuu the mountain that is in the picture is actually called Huyana Picchu. It is also possible to hike that mountain but they only allow 400 people a day to go and its a very strenuous steep hike to the top.
This is of the entire group that is here. The others are just pictures of the surroundings.

The picture above is of a bridge. That the Chaskis used to use, they were the messengers that would travel in between the different Incan cities.
One of the reasons that Machu Picchu is so special is that the Spanish never got there. When the people heard of their coming they fled the city many people believe it was because the city held alot of religious importance for the people.

We spent about 3 hours hiking all around the mountain. When finished we had lunch in Aguas Calientes and headed back to Cusco on a train and in another bus.
Amazing pictures! Thanks for sharing! Be safe and have fun too!
